SciSoc’s AGM is where the next Executive Committee is elected. This is a great opportunity to get involved with SciSoc, to have a say in how it is run, bringing your best ideas to deliver SciSoc’s mission and to interact with the most eminent scientific figures from all over the world. If you have enjoyed our talks and events thus far, do consider joining the SciSoc committee by running for the election at our Annual General Meeting 2021. The AGM this year will take place online on Saturday 06 March. The Committee is a wonderful opportunity to work with people from diverse scientific backgrounds with the common goal of bringing the best of global science to Cambridge.
SciSoc thrives on the very diverse backgrounds of our Committee members – your subject is not a barrier! This year we have biologists, chemists, physicists, medics and vets on our Committee; last year we had a linguist too! Additionally, to truly represent science at Cambridge, we are very keen to have both undergraduates and postgraduates joining us!
The roles are listed below and you can find more details here. You may choose to run for multiple positions, but you must provide a manifesto for each separate role.
You must be a SciSoc member to run for a Committee role and to attend the AGM. The deadline for Committee applications is Tuesday 02 March.
